Cooperation with the Casimir Pulaski Museum in Warka

Visit the Pulaski Museum Internet Pages (in Polish only)

Since 2007 the American Council for Polish Culture (ACPC) has established a relationship with the Pulaski Museum in Warka, Poland and its director Iwona Stefaniak. The definitive start of this cooperation was the 2nd International Pulaski Conference held at the museum in October 2007. Present at the conference were: Edward and Jack Pinkowski, Debbie M. Majka, S. Paul Bosse, and Peter J. Obst. Peter had previously worked with the museum organizing an exhibit on the subject of Ralph Modjeski and his work. Later, there was a Polonia Poster exhibit (2007) and a Jamestown Poles Exhibit (in 2008). An extensive exhibit was planned to feature Polish Churches in the United States but these plans had to be postponed because of the start of a major renovation and rebuilding program at the museum (see the museum's internet page, above).

Thanks to ACPC affiliate and supporting organization members and friends of the organization, 160 pounds (3 boxes) of materials about Polish churches were shipped to the museum by Peter Obst and Paul Bosse. The museum has sent thank you letters to the donors. At this time it is not known when the exhibit will take place but it is definitely on the schedule after the renovations are completed. This gives us more time to collect materials. Actually the museum will be grateful for any donations of Polonia materials -- church anniversary books, Polonia posters, programs, publications and other items for their archives.
