May 16 at 12pm – Gen. Casimir Pułaski Monument Dedication Ceremony at Barracks Park, St Louis County, MO

A new monument honoring Revolutionary War hero Gen. Casimir Pułaski has been installed at Jefferson Barracks Park in St. Louis County, Missouri. The General Casimir Pułaski Monument will be formally dedicated during a public ceremony scheduled for May 16 at noon at the park site.
The project was developed through a collaborative effort involving the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Polish Consulate in Chicago, the Honorary Consul for Poland in St. Louis, the Polish American Congress Missouri Division, and ACPC member, the Polish American Cultural Society of Metropolitan St. Louis.
Funding for the monument itself was provided by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Polish Consulate General in Chicago. Installation costs were covered entirely through contributions from local Polonia, including numerous organizations and individual donors.
Designed and constructed by the Bolesław Kochanowski Studio of Junction City, Wisconsin, the monument features a sculpted bust of General Pulaski mounted on a pedestal. An accompanying plaque describes Pułaski’s role and contributions to both the American Revolutionary War and the War of the Bar Confederation (1768–1772), fought to defend Poland’s independence from the Russian Empire.
