200th Anniversary Celebration Ceremony at Warsaw University of Technology (Politechnika Warszawska)

This academic year, Warsaw University of Technology (Politechnika Warszawska) is celebrating the 200th anniversary of its founding. During the ceremony, the PW Rector Krzysztof Zaremba said, “The history of our Alma Mater is not simply an object of remembrance, it is also—and perhaps above all—a hidden imperative. It is a commitment to the multitude of our predecessors, those whose unwavering determination and steadfast consistency constitute the very essence of our endeavors. It is a commitment to the university, to society, and to humanity at large. It is a pledge to take responsibility for our creations, and to ensure the sustainable and ethical development of technology (…) Our mission is to cultivate enlightened individuals, to ignite passion within them, to instill a lifelong habit of learning, and to foster a mindset of creative and fundamental inquiry. We strive to ensure that our graduates leave these university walls as intellectually independent individuals, boldly articulating their own perspectives.”

ACPC Summer Study Scholarship in Poland

The scholarship is available to high school seniors, and college and university undergraduate and graduate students of Polish heritage. Students may choose to participate in Polish language, history, culture, or current affairs courses, seminars, conferences, or workshops of their choosing.

The Eye of the Eagle

The scholarship, administered by the ACPC, was established in 2018 in memory of Władysław Zachariasiewicz and is supported by his Memorial Scholarship Fund. A $5,000 scholarship will be awarded this year to an undergraduate student in their junior year or higher, or a graduate student, who is pursuing a career in journalism or mass media. The award is based solely on professional and academic merit with an appreciation for issues that affect Polish-Americans. The applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or a permanent resident of the U.S. and of Polish ancestry or someone who has a clear and thorough understanding of Polish culture and values. There is no fee to apply and students submitting a completed application including all supporting documentation will be given a one-year membership to the ACPC. Supporting documentation including essays and responses is covered in the application form. Previous recipients of the scholarship are not eligible.

Leonard Skowronski Polish Studies Scholarship

This scholarships is intended for students pursuing some Polish studies (major may be in other fields) at universities in the United States who have completed at least two years of college or university work at an accredited institution. The scholarships are awarded for the fall term.

Pulaski Scholarships for Advanced Studies

The Pulaski Scholarships for Advanced Studies Program, initially endowed by the Conrad R. Walas family, is administered solely by the American Council for Polish Culture.
