Polish American Cultural Institute of Minnesota
During the Memorial Day commemorations on May 25th, 2026, the Mayor of Columbia Heights, Minnesota, Amada Marquez Simula, spoke in front of the USAAF Airlift 1944 Warsaw Uprising Memorial. The monument was funded and erected by the Polish American Cultural Institute of Minnesota, Institute of National Remembrance in Poland, and the City of Columbia Heights on September 18th, 2024 on the 80th Anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising.
